10. Ziggy Stardust.

Three years ago today, David Bowie left us, but he left behind a legacy. David Bowie has inspired, and continues to inspire, each of us to be as weird and wonderful as we can be; to carve out our own identity in a world that is trying so hard to suffocate us. Through his art, music, and image, he showed everyone that it was okay to be whatever you wanted to be. I did the portrait of Bowie with his eyes open (which you can find on my Etsy), but today, I wanted to do him with his eyes closed in the most vibrant and colorful way I could. I challenged myself not to use black. I love the way it turned out. It's my favorite portrait yet. RIP David Bowie. You will always be missed.
