Robin Williams.

Created this portrait in procreate of Robin Williams for The Hallway Show. I wanted it to be ethereal and pay tribute to an amazing person that has touched/changed all of us. I found myself frustrated with this piece at times because I was trying too hard to maintain the realistic aspect of it.

Freddie Mercury.

I know it has been awhile, but I'm still here. I wanted to share this Freddie Mercury I just finished up to show off this new style/direction I'm trying to go with my work. You can get this print from my etsy shop by clicking HERE, but what I really wanted to do was make this feel like an 80's heartthrob poster.

Spooky times!

The spooky times are nearly upon us, friends! I've been getting pumped up with some little pieces. I drew/painted this piece of Sam from Trick R Treat on the back of one of my postcards and I made this fan art of Toby Toad, but added the witch hat and all of the guts and soiled utensils. It felt like the most wonderful fall night tonight.

Happy Birthday, Matt!

Yesterday was Matt's birthday and we go all out with our birthday cards to each other. For his this year, I made a mixed media cut paper pop up card featuring a little 2 inch version of his dog, Riley, that I used gouache paint for.

Witchy frog.

I have a folder on my desktop called "Things I want to Draw" and I've been putting them off. Well, since the world is self-quarantining (or if you're not, you really need to be), now's a great time to crack into them. Of course, I'm finding it difficult to create much of anything because the other day, we picked up Animal Crossing: New Horizons and that's been any and all points of escape. Matt bought me those Elton John sunglasses and the pink boots to match. I also enjoy stargazing.

Wearable Art.

I've been dabbling in the wearable art world by making custom earrings of whatever people want. So far, I've had two David Bowie's and the wienermobile. It's a great time to be alive! If you'd like a pair, shoot me an email! They're a lot of fun and a great way to show your love of whatever floats your boat. Wearable art is the best.

Robot Party Sticker Pack.

I'm jumping into the sticker game! This has been long overdue and I am happy to kick it off with with the Robot Party Pack inspired by the rainbow (ROY G BIV) and here to make your acquaintance! You can get them on my etsy or send me an email and I can take care of you! Plenty more stickers coming your way! I told Matt if I sell at least one of each set, I will be happy as a clam. We'll see what happens!

24. Willy Wonka.

Gene Wilder was the most magical man and his depiction of Willy Wonka was also magical. I wanted to pull out all of the stops and go nuts: with glitter, a background, and a lot of time spent crafting his face. This one's for you, Gene!

23. Cesar Romero.

Cesar Romero was the first live-television depiction of the Joker in the 1966 Batman TV show! I wanted to keep this true to the comic book roots so I did bold colors with comic lines!

22. Steve Irwin.

A fallen hero. I grew up watching Steve Irwin. The Crocodile Hunter was a staple in my house. We'd walk around saying things like "CRIKEY" and "LOOK AT THAT GORGEOUS SNAKE!" We used to watch him religiously. For Christmas one year, my parents got me the plush Steve Irwin doll with a hard head that would say phrases when you squeezed him. I still have it. He had a huge heart and I'm happy to see his family is just as great as he is. It has been 14 years since he's passed. I miss him.

21. Billie Eilish.

William Pirate Eyelash. No joke, one of her many middle names is actually pirate. I foretold of how she would sweep the Grammy's and win all the awards and guess what? She did. She's a weirdo and I mean that in the best way. There's this really great shot in her video for Bad Guy that I knew I wanted to recreate as soon as I saw it. That's what this is from.

19. Lady Gaga.

I had to do Lady Gaga again because of her gold eyelashes. I also wanted to focus on bold, bright punches of color with mark making over it. I wanted it to give you comic book vibes. I really love the way this one turned out. It's like as I did it, everything made sense.

18. Orville Peck.

If you're not listening to and following Orville Peck, what are you even doing? He's the queer country crooner who is taking the West (and the world) by storm. I whipped this up and have prints of it available in my Etsy and you can get one!

Also, head on over to Matt Benyo's Etsy to purchase some incredible Orville Peck stickers! If you buy the one of Orville with the koala, Matt is donating all of the proceeds to Wires Wildlife Rescue in Australia to help the animals! We already donated, but Matt wanted to do more. It's so cool that he's using his talents to help the wombats, koalas, platypus, kangaroos, and all of the creatures in-between.

Check my piece out below and the last two pictures are Matt's stickers!

15. Dolly Parton.

The day before yesterday was Dolly Parton's birthday and I missed the opportunity to post THEN, but I whipped this up yesterday to serve a a belated homage. Can you even believe this is my first Dolly Parton I've done?! I had to pull out all the stops and did some embossed glitter for her shirt and a pigmented metallic powder for the background. I love Dolly. This won't be my last piece of her. She's the Rhinestone Queen forever. To Dolly!

14. Tilda Swinton.

I busted out the Cuttlelola dot making pen to give it a go on a human. That human was Tilda Swinton.  This is a fashion photo of her. I have to say, it's a definitely not easy and a HUGE challenge trying to control this thing without the dots just consuming what you're doing. It was a good practice/experiment, though. Had a lot of fun with it. I will definitely mess around with it more in the future. Pointillism played a huge role in my artistic journey while I was in high school. It's fun to get back to it.

11. Elton John.

This is one of my favorite pieces to date: Elton John. It's actually a collaboration with fellow artist, Matt Benyo, and it's beautiful. Matt did all of the glitter (including the darker silver for the shadows on the costume) and I did everything else. The cherry on top were the jewels/gems that I added for the shirt and the stars in the background. This is for sale for $130 since it took a total of 5+ hours and features all of the best elements. Check out the details on this sucker! It's 4x6 inches.

10. Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga is someone I've wanted to do a painting of for a long time. I tried this time last year, but that just didn't work out for me. I messed something about her up. So, I decided 2020 is the year I was going to make it really happen. Fun fact: in the reference I used, she doesn't have a clown collar like that, but I decided it needed to be. So, party.

6. Billy Hargrove.

Billy Hargrove. My one true love. My man crush. Played by Dacre Montgomery, he is the ultimate when it comes to bad boys and he's a real jerk, but he becomes a hero and I will forever be in love with him. I truly believe this is my BEST painted portrait to DATE. I feel like I'm really starting to understand how to paint and that's the greatest thing. Gotta keep making and moving! Check it out, including some progress shots, below!

5. Bill Murray.

I love me some Bill Murray, but I think it's the characters that I love and not really him because when I saw him live, he was really detached from the audience and wasn't very personable (and I was in the front row). I still appreciate him and his art, but I don't care about meeting him anymore.

4. Bill Skarsgård.

I find Bill to be an interesting character in every movie he is in, but also in life because I'm not entirely convinced that he's a real person. He was particularly gripping as The Kid in Castle Rock, a series inspired by the world of Stephen King. I really wanted to capture his eyes and the unease he would put into others with them.
