The Muppets!

Recently, Matt Benyo and I teamed up to collaborate on some really cool Muppet offerings! We worked on The Rainbow Connection Kermit, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, and I did the Muppet drawings on the third one without words. These were a lot of fun to make, too. You can find them on my etsy as either greeting cards OR 8x10 prints! So excited to unveil these and to share them with the world. We wanted them to be bright, colorful, and fun. Check them out on my etsy HERE!

Greeting Cards!

Been awhile, but I've been making things and having a good time. My most recent endeavor is something I have always loved: GREETING CARDS! They're blank on the inside. You can find them over on my Etsy by clicking HERE. I plan to upload a lot of designs over the coming weeks. They will not all be Halloween related, but these ones are. The Hocus Pocus cards are a collaboration between Matt Benyo and me! We're trying to keep the art of snail mail alive or if you want to keep it for yourself, it doubles as a mini art print.

Hey Ma! I'm in a Magazine!

VoyageMichigan recently did an interview with me about my work and I'm seriously thrilled that I can share it! You can read the interview by clicking HERE. Special thanks to Maria Filar for recommending me for this. I'm pumped!

Alexander Hamilton.

I am beyond excited and proud to debut this piece I just finished up of the incomparable Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton. I feel like my portraiture has taken on a new life with this piece and I'm really seeing my progress and evolution. You can pick yourself up a print of it if you'd like over on my etsy! I'm not throwing away my shot to post this out there and hope Lin-Manuel himself sees this!

Is There Life on Mars?

Really making a conscious effort to create things that really reflect a style and how I want it to work. So, I present David Bowie! I've done David Bowie before, but I wanted to try a new portrait in this style. I think it really worked here with the colors. Bowie pushed fashion and stereotypes. I guess I wanted to reflect that here. I took lyrics from the song and also created visual imagery inspired by the lyrics around him. You can pick up a print if it catches your eye on my etsy by clicking HERE!

All Hail the May Queen!

Kicking 2022 off with a portrait of Florence Pugh as The May Queen from Midsommar! There's fire burning in her eyes and lots of fun symbolism in this brightly colored piece that you can now get over on my Etsy! Check it out by clicking HERE! Man, I hope I can keep this momentum throughout the year. I'm really proud of this one and hope for a lot more of that. Happy 2022, folks!

"Merry Christmas, little buddy!"

Hard to believe it is already Christmas Eve. Smash Mouth was right when they said the years start coming and they don't stop coming. I'm over here just trying my best. I made a Marv and Harry from Home Alone and put it up on my etsy. You can buy yourself a print if you'd like. I hope everyone has a great holiday season. I wish everyone the joy and love and hope they need.

The Wedding Singer.

Does anyone use blogs anymore? To be fair, I haven't in a while. I figured I was just talking to myself on here, but in keeping with that idea, I'm going to share a piece I just finished that I'm really excited about.

I lost my Gramps November 1st and have had a hard time getting going again in every aspect of my life. When I finally sat down to create this Adam Sandler piece, I enjoyed it and all of the pieces fell into place and I felt good for the first time in over a month.

I did this for The Hallway Show. There's actually a blog version of The Hallway Show, but we've since resurrected The Hallway Show over on instagram. This week's theme is Adam Sandler so I chose to do him as Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer. I wanted to capture that 80's feel from the movie and the tenderness that Robbie possesses.

I also listed this print on my etsy if you're interested in getting one. I'm going to keep making and creating, but I'm doing so using baby steps. I hope everyone else out there is doing well. Take some time to be kind to yourself.

Robin Williams.

Created this portrait in procreate of Robin Williams for The Hallway Show. I wanted it to be ethereal and pay tribute to an amazing person that has touched/changed all of us. I found myself frustrated with this piece at times because I was trying too hard to maintain the realistic aspect of it.

Freddie Mercury.

I know it has been awhile, but I'm still here. I wanted to share this Freddie Mercury I just finished up to show off this new style/direction I'm trying to go with my work. You can get this print from my etsy shop by clicking HERE, but what I really wanted to do was make this feel like an 80's heartthrob poster.

The Undertaker.

Almost a week ago, The Undertaker retired on WWE. I watched it and it was kind of emotional, I can't even lie. So, I whipped this portrait up that I am really proud of. I wanted his face to be the focal point. I used procreate, but I used the gouache brushes. Anyone else a fan of wrestling?

Kamala Harris.

First female, multi-racial Vice President-Elect. It has taken over 200 years for this to happen and that's insane. I did this portrait for The Hallway Show, but found myself particularly inspired by this quote that she recently said. There's a lot of work to still do in this country, but this is a start.

"I'm Alone. I'm Utterly Alone."

Lydia Deetz & Winona Ryder are basically synonymous with me these days. I was originally going to hand paint this image of her wearing her veil, but then I took it into procreate and did it. It took SO LONG (so I guess I'm glad I didn't paint it because that would've taken so much longer). I'm really happy with this, though! Always a Beetlejuice fan. I haven't stopped singing the musical since I saw it. So, you know, I'm just living my best spooky life always. Click to enlarge!

RIP RBG.

RBG's passing is a major loss. The amount of work that she accomplished cannot be overstated. I was asked to create a RBG for my friend's website. This is my submission. I wanted to honor her to the best of my artistic ability.

Forever fighting the good fight. Rest in power, RBG.

Can You Call Me Joker?

Whipped up this piece for The Hallway Show. This week's subject is Joaquin Phoenix and I had to pay homage to Arthur Fleck / Joker. I wanted the background to reflect the internal chaos within him. I had a lot of fun with this.

Spooky times!

The spooky times are nearly upon us, friends! I've been getting pumped up with some little pieces. I drew/painted this piece of Sam from Trick R Treat on the back of one of my postcards and I made this fan art of Toby Toad, but added the witch hat and all of the guts and soiled utensils. It felt like the most wonderful fall night tonight.

Band Cards.

New thing: illustrate album covers and turn them into blank greeting cards. I made the Jonas Brothers card for one of my best friend's for her birthday and I made the Iron Maiden card for another of my best friends from college!

Feed Me, Seymour.

Did this Rick Moranis from Little Shop of Horrors for my friend for her birthday. It's not for sale, but I had a lot of fun making it for her. Any other Little Shop fans out there?
